Independent Financial Adviser

Woodward Markwell are looking to recruit an Independent Financial Adviser to join their Ipswich based team. The ideal candidate will:

- Have a background in the industry and an ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge of pensions and investments
- Have client facing experience
- Be experienced at successfully self generating leads
- Have excellent client relationship management skills
- Be level 4 diploma qualified (or equivalent) or above
- Have good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the industries regulatory requirements
- Have a good work ethic and flexibility
- Must have good English and numeric skills
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve


A client bank is welcome but not essential. Full administration/paraplanning support will be provided

Account Handler

We are looking for an experienced Account Handler, with a minimum of 2 years insurance experience. Previous use of the Acturis system would be ideal, but not compulsory. Duties to include:

- Providing administrative support and servicing business for designated Account Executives or Small Business Unit Team as required in a professional, timely and efficient manner
- Handling new business, MTAs and renewals.
- Provide excellent service to client’s, making sure that Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is paramount in all dealings with customers.
- Provide customers/clients with appropriate insurance cover and advice whilst maintaining competitive premiums.
- Advising insurers in respect of all new business, amendments and renewal transactions.
- Communicating with clients and ensuring that they are fully aware of the cover provided and any gaps in cover or significant terms, conditions or exclusions.
- Ensure that full and accurate computer records are maintained and kept up to date.
- Liaise with Claims Dept. as required to verify loss experience at each renewal.
- Assist Claims Department in respect of cover operative and other technical matters.
- Handle Claims in Claims Handlers absence as and when required
